Do you write poetry, keep a journal, enjoyed writing in high school or college. Do you have something to say? An 8 week Writer’s Workshop is just right for you.
No previous experience necessary; no judgement either.
The workshop will begin February 23rd at Arts Alive’s Studio 659 running each Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30. Each session is $10 to be paid at the workshop itself. No reservations are necessary. Just come, relax and share.
Writer and Professor at Governor’s State David Sandrick will lead the group.
“There are so many different kinds of writing,” David said. “Do you want to create to publish or are you looking for journal prompts or do you just enjoy the creativity of writing? Probably the biggest question I would ask is ‘why do you write’.”
David asks that for the first session, no laptops are needed but he would like you to journal and bring those ideas. “I’m here to lead the workshop and the writers and I will build this together and see what it is that they wish to do,” he said.
