Join Studio 659 for our annual Halloween exhibit
Eligibility and Fees:
Open to artists of all ages, and art in any medium will be considered. Each artist may enter up to three pieces for consideration. All work must be completed within the last 2 years and not have been previously shown at Studio 659. All work should be connected to our theme of Halloween, the paranormal, and the spooky. We are a family-friendly gallery, so work should also not be too gory or violent. Members of Studio 659 may submit without fees. Non-members must pay a non-refundable $25 fee to be considered.
Due Friday, September 20, 2019, through e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Submit a photo of each submission in jpeg format as an e-mail attachment. All images must be labeled as firstinitial.lastname.title (K.Smith.ArtworkTitle). Use “Bump In the Night” in the subject line of the e-mail.
Include your name and an image list in the body of your email with the title, media, size, year completed, and price for each piece. Also include any social media, web, or store front information for your art that we can include on labels. Please denote any special installation needs in your email.
The Studio retains a 30% commission for all sales; please factor this into your retail pricing. Pieces which are not for sale should be labeled NFS.
Unfortunately, any improperly labeled submissions or those missing information will not be considered.
Artwork Acceptance and Notifications:
Artists will be notified of acceptance into the exhibit by email on or before Saturday September 21, 2019, and must be prepared to drop it off by September 28, 2019. By committing to display your work in this exhibit, you are also asked to advertise the show and its related events through your on-line presence and encouraged to attend the opening reception.
*Artists who ship their work must include return shipment label and proper reusable packaging.
Hanging work must be wired 1/3 of the way from the top. Hanging artwork which is not wired or not wired properly will not be hung.
No substitutions of submissions. The gallery reserves the right to decline any accepted artwork upon delivery if the condition or quality is other than represented in the submission. Accepted artwork must remain in the Studio until the conclusion of the exhibit November 16, 2019.
This year, all artists with work in Bump In The Night will be invited to set up a table during the opening reception in order to sell more original works during Wickedly Whiting. This is an excellent way to meet more of your fans and show off more of your art. Each artist will keep 100% of his or her sales from work NOT in the exhibit during Wickedly Whiting.
Reception: Saturday October 12, 2018, 10am-8pm during Wickedly Whiting.
